What are Arrays?

An Array is a group of like-typed variables that are reffered to by a common name. A specific element in an array is accessed by its index.

Need of Arrays?

  • Not knowing the number of variables needed until runtime.
  • For a large number of variables that would be difficult to assign unique names.
  • A requirement to implement a search or sort mechanism within your program logic.
  • A need to.improve performance.

  • Two-Dimensional Arrays
